Current theme (2009/10)

• Developing and Sustaining a Practice-based Strategy for Reducing Healthcare Associated Infections
  A programme of support for sixteen nurse-led teams to reduce HAIs in partnership with NHS London.

Recent themes

• Reducing Patient Falls (Microsite)
  A microsite dedicated to the sharing of good practice to reduce patient falls.
• Towards Healthy Ageing: Promoting Independence and Choice
  An initiative supporting two project teams who are committed to working with older people and other partner agencies to promote independence and choice towards the goal of healthy ageing.
• Enhancing the Patient Care Environment
  A programme of support to enable four nurse-led teams to enhance the patient care environment in partnership with the Department of Health.
• Developing Practice for Healthy Ageing (Microsite)
  A microsite dedicated to supporting the development of innovative approaches to providing better health care, access and support for people towards the goal of 'healthy ageing'.
• Developing Practice for Thrombosis Prevention (Microsite)
  A microsite to support the development and sharing of good practice around risk assessment and prevention of venous thromboembolism.
• Making 'Valuing People' Happen
  A project aiming to improve access to health services by involving and consulting service users with learning disabilities.
• Evidence-Based Nursing Care of the Older Person
  A three year project to develop and support nursing teams to identify, use and practice evidence-based nursing care for older people.
• Developing Practice and Improving Care in Kent
  A project to develop a consultant midwife's clinic to give women the opportunity to discuss the risks and benefits of caesarian sections.
• Developing Practice for People with Neurological Conditions
  A programme of funding to support the development of practice in Hampshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire for people with neurological conditions.
