The FoNS small projects programme (SPP) supports clinically based nurses, midwives and healthcare teams who want to develop healthcare practice to improve patient care in any healthcare setting across the UK. The SPP aims to support projects that:

It is FoNS’ intention that the focus of this programme should primarily be on supporting clinically based practitioners i.e. those working at the interface between healthcare practitioners and patients/service users and that potential applicants should be aware of the availability of facilitation and support from the FoNS practice development facilitators. There are currently two streams of activity within the small projects programme. Current activity FoNS Small Project Programme: General Focus supported in association with the Burdett Trust for Nursing. This programme is currently closed to new applications but we will be announcing a new programme in the summer. FoNS Small Projects Programme: Special Focus - Supporting Developments in Practice to Improve Fundamental Aspects of Care in partnership with Antigone. This programme is currently closed to new applications.
