Supporting Developments in Practice to Improve Fundamental Aspects of Care: Improving Patients’ Experience of Care This special focus is kindly supported by Antione About the special focus It is essential that patients experience care that is high quality and patient-focused. Communication, personal hygiene, privacy and dignity and food and nutrition are all fundamental elements of care that are of huge importance. We are therefore pleased to be partnering with Martha Lane Fox’s new trust, Antigone, on a new programme (launched in 2008) which is supporting two nurse-led teams over a twelve – eighteen month period to develop an initiative that will improve an essential aspect of care. The projects began in July 2008 and further information about them can be found by clicking on the links below. Projects The assessment of vulnerability in families whose children have a life limiting illness Support and funding opportunities This programme is currently closed to new applications, however, we will be announcing a new call for applications for our general small projects programme in the Autumn.
