FoNS is a registered charity that is almost entirely reliant on fundraising to support its activities. FoNS’ ability to support nurses, midwives and health visitors who are developing healthcare practice to improve patient care depends on the generosity, support and interest received from donors, funders, corporate partners and healthcare professionals.
To date we have received support from a variety of individuals and organisations, these include healthcare practitioners, patients and service users, charitable trusts, pharmaceutical, healthcare and publishing companies.
How can you help?
Some examples of how your money could help include:
£40 could give a nurse access to tools and resources that inspire them and their team to improve patient care, and show them how to do it.
£100 would enable a nurse to attend one of our practice development workshops to learn new skills and network and share with others, enabling them to go back to their workplaces and really make a difference.
£500 could pay for the next publication in our Developing Practice Improving Care Dissemination Series. These reports share the knowledge and learning of clinically based nurses about developing and improving practice to enhance care. They are free to download from our website and are sent to over 1,000 libraries and nursing organisations UK wide.
