Senior Nurse – Projects HC One 

Nursing since 1982, initially working as community nurse, and later within the independent social care sector. Advocating for person led care, supported others to develop and manage their own care homes and developing caring cultures. Transferred skills role as a Registered Home Manager, to work as a senior nurse working on specific projects with HC-ONE.

Awarded the Gold Chief Nurse Adult Social Care Award from the Department of Health and Social Care’s Chief Nurse, Deborah Sturdy. The award recognises a select number of nurses in the UK, who go above and beyond to make outstanding contributions in the field. Experienced practitioner as a Social care nurse with a keen interest in the sectors strategic development and collaborative partnerships.

Raising the profile of nurses who work in the social care sector has always been of paramount importance. 

Foundation of Nursing Studies Alumni and Inspire Improvement Fellow. 

Pilot home for The Teaching Care Home project. 

North West co-chair for the Social Care Nursing advisory councils (SCNACS).
