Home News & Views The Twelve Days of FoNS-Mas, in brief
Our celebration of our work in 2025: The Twelve days of FoNS-Mas
The first day: Raising the voice of nurses and the value of nursing
FoNS is the anchor for person-centred cultures and workforce renewal, we provide the support nurses need to sustain themselves. We have strengthened our influence, working closely with Chief Nursing Officers to embed person-centredness and restorative clinical supervision at the heart of national policy and professional standards.
The second day: Re energised nurses through our scholarships
Five new scholars, especially those with least access to CPD, left our Residential Programme re-energised and ready to strengthen facilitation, person-centred practice and reflective leadership
Day three brings: Improving equity and opportunity
Our scholarships and programmes are addressing the inequity in nursing. We widen access, rebalance opportunity and build more inclusive leadership pipelines across nursing and social care
Day four: It’s a big one! Life changing learning
Participants call our programmes “motivating”, “life changing”, and “a new dawn of care”, testimony to the uplift in morale, safety and leadership confidence FoNS brings:
- Stronger leadership capability and influence
- Renewed joy, purpose and fulfilment
- Enhanced wellbeing and resilience
- Deepened person-centred practice
Day five supports partnership working
We are very proud of our partnerships, they support us to work with nurses to change workplace culture and the culture of FoNS itself.
On day six, we are proud and excited to celebrate the steps we have taken forward in terms of co-production
Lived-experience Co-production leads are helping FoNS to view our work through a lived experience lens, strengthening our programme offer and embedding more inclusive ways of working as well as enhancing the social value we create.
On day seven, we thank our facilitators and associate facilitators
They have delivered restorative support to over 550 health and care professionals. Our model of supervision is psychologically protective and professionally transformative with an outstanding 4.68/5 recommendation score.
On day eight, we focus on culture change
Our programmes support nurses and nurse leaders to influence the culture of the workplace – developing psychological safety, empowering colleagues, creating learning environments where feedback is used to improve rather than prove and building places where nurses want to work.
For day nine, it’s participation
Participatory and experiential learning: Learning from and with each other. Learning co-created with sound theoretical underpinnings. Nurses & leaders enabled to walk the talk.
Day ten is all about supporting PNAs
We are proud to have been working with PNAs this year – strengthening facilitation skills and introducing them to RBCS, an easy to use, effective and impactful form of restorative clinical supervision
A nursing workforce renewed: Day eleven
With more than 700 nurses in health and care participating in our programmes, we delivered measurable gains in quality, leadership confidence and wellbeing, creating the sort of places people want to work
On the Twelfth day: More programmes coming
We are looking forward to continuing to develop our programme offer in 2026, responding to the needs of health and social care.
Thank you for celebrating with us the ways FoNS is helping to create the conditions in which high quality, compassionate care, and the nurses who deliver it, can thrive.
