Director of Nursing for the Outstanding Society CIC

Zoe Fry, OBE, RN, BSc is Director of Nursing for the Outstanding Society CIC (OS) which shares and celebrates best practice across social care while supporting providers to improve. A registered nurse, Zoe began working in care homes at just 13, where her passion for supporting older people was formed. Her career spans senior clinical and leadership roles in the NHS, including surgical ward sister, matron for general medicine and NHS general manager. In 2008, Zoe purchased and transformed a nursing home with her team, achieving Outstanding CQC ratings in 2014 and 2017. In 2023, she was awarded an OBE for Services to Social Care and Nursing.
